United Brethren Lodge has taken on a more grand and regal look, like one of the exhibit halls at the MFA, thanks to the 14 hand-painted leather aprons that now adorn the walls and add more light to our ceremonies. R.W. Dick Johnson came up with the idea, built the frames and got tremendous help from Bros. Bob Mulvaney, Alex Hayes and Wor. Walter Demoorjian in getting these properly displayed. Thirty-three Brothers contributed personal funds to purchase the aprons, and the Building Trustees kicked in for the lighting.

The aprons are historic designs from the 18th and 19th Centuries originating in France, England and Scotland. They were created in France.
